WAYS TO GIVE
Giving for the
Now, more than ever, we need your help in order to continue to care for all those in our community.
The needs of those we serve threaten to outpace our resources. Many seniors are living longer and longer and, through no fault of their own, their financial resources just aren’t enough to see them through. We are innovating every step of the way to ensure quality of life for seniors and peace of mind for their families—all while maintaining a commitment to choice, dignity, compassion, and meaning. Today marks a new chapter in the history of Jewish Senior Life. Together, let’s turn the page… With your help, our residents can live longer and live better.
We invite you to join us in supporting these critical areas:
- Annual Giving
- Platinum Circle
- Golden Alliance
- Friends of the Foundation
- Planned Giving
- Tribute Giving
- Corporate Giving
Annual Giving: This is your year
This is our year. Together with your support, our annual campaign gives us what we need to keep our existing programs going—and to develop new ones. These are the programs that make all the difference every single day: right here, right now. Jewish education, recreational and cultural art therapies and many others are possible because of your generous annual gift.
Donors who invest in our annual campaign will become members of one of our giving societies.
Platinum Circle: Top-tier annual donors who contribute $1,500 or more each year
Golden Alliance: A collection of leaders who contribute $500 or more each year
Friends of the Foundation: Donors who contribute up to $499 each year
Experience extraordinary rewards.
All donors at the leadership level of $500 or more are:
- Invited to participate in special, cultural and educational events throughout the year
- Highlighted in our Annual Report which is distributed to our community
- Recognized on the donor wall at the Jewish Home, and during various Foundation events throughout the year
- Invited to our annual donor recognition event
Planned Giving: This is Legacy
Did you know that you can make a planned gift to Jewish Senior Life Foundation (JSLF) and include your loved ones in your estate plans? Planned giving is a beautiful way to support the people, causes, and organizations that you care about long into the future. One of the ways that Jewish Senior Life is able to consistently provide leading care is through the legacy and generosity of those who came before us. By including JSLF in your estate plans, you help us to continue to provide excellent care for generations to come.
CONSIDER MAKING A PLANNED GIFT
There are many ways to make a planned gift, and your planned gift should be as unique as you are. We can work with you and your financial, personal estate, and/or tax advisors to customize your legacy gift to JSLF. Some ways others have made gifts to JSLF in the past include:
- Individual Retirement Account & Pension Benefits
- Life Insurance
- Gifts by Bequest or Living Trust
- Financial and Brokerage Accounts
- Life Income Instruments
- Appreciated Stocks
- Transfer of Entrance Fee*

Tribute Giving: This is honor
There are many milestones in life. A donation can make those milestones even more memorable. It is a gift that pays tribute to someone in a truly meaningful way.
Commemorate special occasions like birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings and anniversaries with your tribute gift. We’ll send an acknowledgment to your honoree or honoree’s family to notify them of your thoughtful gift.
Keep a loved one’s memory alive with a digital memorial yahrzeit plaque. Each digital plaque will preserve you loved one’s name and date of passing in our beautiful Joseph E. Silverstein Memorial Court located in the Jewish Home Farash Tower.

“It feels good to know we’ll leave a meaningful gift and lasting legacy. I was inspired by an inherited legacy of giving. It started with my grandfather and continued on with my father. Now it’s my turn to show the next generation the importance of giving back to the community that has given our family so much.”
— Ed Bloom, Donor
“I was so impressed by the tender loving care that my mother received that I became a supporter of the Jewish Senior Life Foundation, and always think of them when there is an opportunity to make a donation in honor or memory of someone.”
— Bernice “Bunny” Skirboll, Donor
